Bodega del Desierto
The winery and vineyards are located in the town of 25 de Mayo,Patagonia, Argentina. The 140 hectares of vineyard are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. The vines are irrigated by a dripping system which is fed from a 35-million-liter reservoir 0n the estate. The climate is dry, continental with moderate to cool temperatures, a thermal amplitude of 26° C and annual precipitations of 220 mm. The vineyard is located at 340 meters above sea level.
The American winemaker Paul Hobbs is in charge of all consulting activities. 25/5, named after the town where the winery is located, Bodega del Desierto is the only winery in the province of La Pampa.
Del Desierto (literally translated “From the Desert”) is located in the town of 25 de Mayo, La Pampa province, Patagonia Argentina. For the past ten years, and with the collaboration of some of the best national and international consultancy, the Desierto team has been working hard and passionately to produce wines with unique characteristics.
The 140 hectares of vineyard produce two lines of wine that are bottled in estate: 25/5 and Desierto Pampa. Del Desierto is proud to be pioneer in the development of this non-traditional viticultural region that produces wines of great finesse.
