Spain’s wine industry is rooted in the country’s long-time small-scale wine production traditions. Spain has dozens of wine regions, but Dream Wines works with the regions where world class wine can be produced; Priorat, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Bierzo. Each region has a long history of growing grapes, and you can easily find old vines producing amazing fruit in each of them. Spain’s long-isolated wine tradition has resulted in cultivation of many varieties of grapes unused elsewhere. Most notable are Tempranillo, which develops the full-bodied wines Rioja and Garnacha, of Rioja and Priorat fame.
