Vice Versa

“Deep consuming passions for life and nature have led me to you, after years of dreams and obsession, as a composer of fine wine. I am thrilled to share these passions with you through my first release, Vice Versa Cabernet 2003, and invite you to discover its enticing sensual aromas and flavours with those closest to you”

- Patrice Breton

Proprietor’s Tasting Notes:

Deep purple hues, with enticing kirsch liqueur, English toffee, lavender, black cacao beans, blackberry, strawberry and plum aromas, this fabulously well structured and balanced wine marries concentration and finesse. It is full-bodied, rich and a real pleasure to drink young yet has sufficient tannin structure to support long-term cellaring.

Fully ripe hand-harvested grapes were destemmed and fermented with wild yeast in open-top stainless-steel tanks 26 days on skins and cold-soaked for 5 days. Vice Versa was aged 21 months in 100% Bossuet, Seguin Moreau and Taransaud oak barrels (60% new). Blended in May 2005 and bottled in July 2005 unfined and unfiltered.

Famed winemaker Paul Hobbs creates this 210 case production from two Napa vineyards. The To-Kalon Beckstoffer and Stage Coach Vineyards are vinified separately and then blend to exacting standards.
